Beginnings and Futures – Transition
In order to get the very best for all of our children and to ensure they make progress and succeed, we work closely with our parents, carers and partner schools.
We have strong systems of communication so that parents can remain involved in their child’s learning journey.
At the beginning of the school journey, we support our parents by involving them in their child’s transition into school. Please follow the link to the EYFS pages to find out more about this process. You can also read our prospectus.
As the children move through the school, they become familiar with all of our staff through experience days and events built into our calendar.
Before moving into a new class children and parents will have time to meet their new class teacher to be clear on expectations. A detailed overview of year group curriculums are on our website.
We are part of the Advanced Learning Partnership which is a Multi Academy Trust based in the local area. Almost all of the local secondary schools are part of the trust. As children move onto the next phase of their education, we ensure they are fully prepared by working closely with key staff and providing opportunities for children to visit.
