Uniform

The Governors believe that school uniform:

  • Should be both practical and appropriate
  • Gives children a sense of pride and belonging to the school
  • Portrays the correct image to the general public
  • Makes children easily recognisable while out of school on educational visits
  • Should be affordable

Children are required to wear the following:

  • Red jumper or sweatshirt
  • White shirt or polo shirt
  • Grey trousers or black trousers
  • Grey or black pinafore or skirt
  • Sensible black shoes
  • Black, grey or white socks
  • Grey, black or red tights

The following are optional:

  • Grey or black tailored shorts (Warmer months)
  • Red gingham Summer dress (Warmer months)
  • Black boots (Colder months)

There is no requirement for branded school wear and children are welcome to wear generic school uniform from a range of retailers. Should you wish to purchase branded school items, you are welcome to do so from:

Hairstyles and Jewellery

  • Long hair must be tied up
  • No brightly coloured hair, shaved designs, or tramlines
  • Hair accessories should be simple and reflect the school colours
  • One set of studs is acceptable, but should be removed for PE; the children must be able to do this themselves, alternatively they can be removed before school.

If you intend to get your child’s ears pierced, can I ask that you do so at the start of Summer to give them adequate time to heal.
