School Council Representative

Our School Council represents the voice of pupils across Hartside. Elected democratically by their classmates, councillors gather ideas, suggestions, and concerns to ensure decisions within school reflect what matters most to our children. They meet regularly with staff, contribute to key discussions, and help shape improvements that benefit the whole community.

School councillors also lead class‑based assemblies on current issues affecting our local community or the wider world. These assemblies spark discussion, encourage thoughtful debate, and help pupils understand how their ideas can make a positive difference. By taking on this leadership role, School Council members develop confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of citizenship—living out our commitment to empowering student voice.
