Remote Education
At Hartside Primary Academy, we are committed to providing a high-quality remote education that mirrors our in-school curriculum.
Our remote learning programme is designed to ensure continuity of education in the event of school closures or for pupils who need to self-isolate. Using Microsoft Teams, we deliver live lessons that are skillfully planned, structured and sequenced to maintain high expectations and engagement. Pupils will follow their regular timetable with four 30-minute lessons each day, featuring interactive elements such as questioning, feedback and peer interactions through breakout rooms. For those without digital access, we loan laptops and provide printed work packs.
Our approach includes tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring accessibility and inclusivity. Safeguarding remains a priority, with regular welfare checks and secure data handling practices in place.
Please see the Primary Remote Learning Policy for more details.
