Lunches & Free School Meals

Our meals are freshly prepared on the premises. Two menus are offered across the year, on a three-week rotation. Each day there are 3 main course choices and 2 dessert options. Each meal has been carefully developed to ensure it is nutritionally balanced.

At the start of each day, the children choose what they would like. Please see copies of the menu below:

If your child has a special dietary requirement (supported by a medical practitioner) then this can still be provided for. Please let us know, by filling in a form below and sending it into school.

If you would like to change your child’s lunch arrangements (Packed Lunch to School Meal vice versa) please contact the Main Office. We require two weeks notice.

We expect packed lunches to reflect the requirement of schools to meet minimum food and nutrition standards for school meals. We therefore expect packed lunches to be nutritionally balanced. Please see the guidance below.

Free School Meals

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit – if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

Children who get paid these benefits directly, instead of through a parent or guardian, can also get free school meals.

Your child may also get free school meals if you get any of these benefits and your child is both:
