Investigating Bones and Muscles – Year 3

20th November 2020

Year 3 have been investigating bones and muscles and enjoyed putting together a human skeleton. They discovered the scientific bone names and thought most of them were very strange. They were brilliant at matching them to common bone names. We looked around the school grounds for creatures with endoskeletons and exoskeletons and were delighted to discover a real skull in the woods. Year 3 thought it was a bird at first. On further inspection they realised the skull had teeth and large incisors, they agreed (after quite a heated debate) it must be a rat skull.
