Our School Day
At Hartside Primary Academy, we have a 32.5 hour week – this is from 08:45am – 3:15pm.
Our school day starts at 08:45am – we expect the children to be in their seats and ready to learn at this time. We ask that the children arrive in plenty of time, so that they can have a steady start to the day.
The school gates open at 08:35am and the children are invited to participate in Wake Up Shake Up. Wake Up Shake Up is 10 minutes of physical activity that promotes wellbeing and supports the children with regulating before they start their busy day. It is important to note that this is optional – the children can start their day in the classroom if they wish.
The school gates close at 08:45am – anyone arriving after this time will need to sign in at the reception and provide a reason for being late.
