Headteacher – Ms D. Simpson
I have worked at Hartside Primary Academy for nearly 15 years and I have taught in most year groups, including EYFS. Alongside this, I have held a range of additional responsibilities including: Deputy Headteacher, OPAL Lead, Personal Development Lead and 10 years as Literacy Lead. The thing I love most about teaching is that everyday is different. I look forward to coming to school, because I get to spread my creative wings, work with wonderful people and I get to see the children progress and succeed.
I was delighted to be appointed Headteacher in July 2024, after being Head of School for 2 years and look forward working alongside the team to continue to develop the school. There are many exciting adventures ahead at Hartside Primary Academy and I feel very lucky to be part of such a wonderful school community.
