Hartside Primary Academy
Helping every child to make progress and succeed
Welcome to Hartside Primary Academy
Hartside Primary Academy is a one form entry school located in the ex-mining town of Crook, County Durham. We have an Early Years unit comprising of a 60-place nursery and a 30-place reception class. In the main body of the school, we have 6 classes from Y1 – Y6, each with 30 places. The school is situated in the middle of impressive grounds, that include a woodland, football pitch, outdoor gym and trim trail.
At Hartside Primary, we aim to make sure that ‘Every child makes progress and succeeds’. This is what drives us, is fundamental to every policy we have in place and every lesson we teach. We believe that our school curriculum is far bigger than the National Curriculum and we aim to support and guide children in a fun and friendly way to achieving their goals.
